Lowry Inspires Year 4

Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Lowry Art Gallery in Manchester. 

During the day, the children explored the gallery on a guided tour, where they                discovered the life and artwork of the famous artist L.S. Lowry. They learned about his distinctive style, famous matchstick figures and the industrial landscapes that made his work so recognisable. 

One of the highlights of the visit was stepping into the incredible Lowry 360 immersive experience, where the children were surrounded by moving images and sounds inspired by Lowry's paintings. They also took part in an exciting sketching and painting workshop, where they experimented with techniques inspired by Lowry and created artwork of their own.

Throughout the visit, our pupils were excellent ambassadors for the school and demonstrated our Willows Way Values brilliantly.
