Reception Admissions 2025
If your child’s 5th birthday is between 1st September 2025 and 31st August 2026, then you can apply for a place in our Reception class to start in September 2025.
The easiest way to apply for a reception place is to complete the online application form using the link below. If you have an older child already attending Willows or your child attends Willows Nursery, you will still need to apply for a place and complete the forms.
If you are unable to complete the form on-line you can still apply by telephoning the school admissions service on 0300 111 8007 (select option for school admissions). The closing date for this year’s admissions for Reception is 15th January 2025. If you are applying for a place after the closing date, you will need to contact school admissions by telephone only.
Nursery Admissions
Our Nursery currently welcomes children aged 2 or 3 years of age. Children are admitted to Nursery the term after their second or third birthday. We offer 'Think 2' funding, 15 hours and 30 hours funding.
2 Years of Age
We offer morning or afternoon sessions. Our morning sessions are 8:45am - 11:45am and our afternoon sessions are 12:30pm - 3:30pm. You can access 15 hours of government funded childcare per week. If you are eligible, you can use 15 hours of 'Think 2' funding to pay for this service. Each session has a fee of £11.40.
3 Years of Age
We offer morning or afternoon sessions. You can use 15 hours of free funding to pay for this service. Morning sessions are 8:45am - 11:45am. Afternoon sessions are 12:30pm - 3:30pm. If you would like your child to attend a full day, then you have the option of paying an additional £14.25, so your child is able stay from 11:45am - 3:30pm. This is subject to availability.
If you are entitled to 30 hours funding, then our sessions are Monday to Thursday 8:45am - 3:30pm and Friday 8:45am - 11:45am. In addition, there is the option of using our wrap around care on a Friday (11:45am - 3:30pm), which has a fee of £14.25.
If your child attends all day, then there is the option of a school meal at a cost of £2.45. Breakfast and after-school sessions are available for children aged 3 years and over.

If you are interested in a place at our Academy for your child we would ask that in the first instance you contact the Office on 01543 421830 or via office@willows.staffs.sch.uk. A member of the office team will be able to assist with your admission related query.

If you wish to make an application you should complete this application form and forward this to school.
We will advise you of the outcome of your in-year application within 10 school days or at the very latest within 15 school days.
In the event that the place is refused information about the independent appeals process will be detailed in the letter.
