Headteacher Message

A very warm welcome to Willows Primary Academy.

It is a real privilege to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Willows. I am delighted to be joining such a welcoming school and look forward to getting to know our wonderful children, families, staff and wider community over the coming days, weeks and months.

At Willows, we believe that every child matters. We are committed to knowing our children as individuals, recognising their strengths and supporting them to feel safe, valued and confident.

We believe that primary education should give children a strong academic foundation whilst also helping them to develop the confidence, character and curiosity they need for the future. We are proud of the rich opportunities we offer beyond the classroom, which help to develop the whole child and give our pupils a wealth of memorable experiences. Through trips, visits, clubs and wider opportunities, we encourage children to explore new interests, discover their talents and develop confidence in themselves.

We are fortunate to have a talented and dedicated staff team who work hard to create a positive environment where children can learn, grow and enjoy coming to school. Their commitment to our children is something we are very proud of.

Our Willows Way sits at the heart of our school, helping to guide children as they learn and grow. Alongside this, our three simple rules — Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe — provide clear expectations for how we learn, behave and care for one another each day.

We know how important strong relationships between home and school are in supporting children to thrive. At Willows, we are proud of the positive partnerships we have with our families and the trust that underpins them. We value the important role parents and carers play in their children’s learning and development and look forward to continuing to work closely together to support every child to achieve their best.

We hope our website gives you a flavour of life at Willows. Please do get in touch if you would like to know more — we would be delighted to welcome you to our school.
