Crime & Punishment in Year 6
Over the next few weeks, Year 6 will travel back in time to learn about crafty crimes and painful punishments from the Medieval and Victorian eras.
To kick things off, this week, we had the chance to explore replica artefacts, including stocks, a pillory and handcuffs. These hands-on resources helped bring history to life and spark curiosity, while encouraging pupils to ask questions and think deeply about how and why punishments were used.
