Year 6 Adventures at the Lakes!

Our Year 6 pupils recently returned from a wonderful four-day residential trip to the beautiful Lake District, filled with adventure, laughter, and lasting memories.

On Tuesday 1st July, excitement filled the air as we set off on our journey. After   arriving safely, we wasted no time and set off on a short walk near Rydal Water. Along the way, we were thrilled to spot tiny baby frogs hopping along the path — a magical start to our trip!

Wednesday saw us tackling the challenging, but rewarding, climb to Easedale Tarn. The stunning views made all the effort worthwhile, and the children showed great determination and teamwork throughout. Later, we headed into Grasmere, where the pupils enjoyed some well-deserved shopping and, of course, a chance to sample a  delicious ice cream!

Thursday began with a scenic walk around Elterwater, taking in more of the Lake District's breathtaking natural beauty. In the afternoon, we explored the bustling town of Keswick, where the children had another chance to pick up souvenirs and treats.

On Friday morning, we enjoyed a final breakfast together before packing up. A special moment was the handing out of the much-anticipated leavers' hoodies, marking the end of a brilliant trip — and the beginning of the final chapter of Year 6. We then began our journey home, tired but happy, after a memorable week.

A huge thank you to all the staff and pupils for making the trip such a success. Well done, Year 6 — you did us proud!
