Year 4 Walk Like an Egyptian!
Year 4 showed their love of learning this week during a visit to Birmingham Museum where they learnt about Ancient Egypt. They worked as team players to consider what artefacts were used for - some of them were several thousand years old! They also learnt about mummification, and their belief in the afterlife - some of the children even had the chance to dress up as different Gods! Finally, the children were able to visit some more Egyptian artefacts in the museum, including a death mask (worn to reunite the spirit with the body in the afterlife) and some mummified animals. They showed a keen interest in their new mini adventure, asking some excellent questions, and using their history skills when exploring the artefacts. What a fab trip!
