Year 3 Ready for Departure!

Year 3 had a very exciting adventure to Manchester Airport as part of our Mini Adventure 'Vamos Barcelona!'.  Despite not actually taking flight, the children had the chance to experience what it’s like to travel by plane – just like they would if they were flying to Spain!  They checked in at the check-in desk; followed their flight times; explored the planes up close; and visited the viewing centre.  It was a fun and educational day for everyone!   We learned all about what happens at the airport and what pilots, flight attendants and airport staff do to help people travel safely to places like Barcelona.  We discussed what we might pack in our suitcases and some of the amazing sights to see in Spain – like the ‘Sagrada Família’ and ‘La Ramblas’!  

The children were exceptional representatives of our school: showing respect and all of our Willows Way values throughout the visit.  They asked many brilliant questions and even found the confidence to speak to members of the public to find out where they had travelled from!
