Where In The World Are We?

The children in Year One entered their classrooms and found a range of maps, sea creatures and a mystery box. They went on to discover a globe, a suitcase and a book about the world.  The children shared the story of ‘Lost and Found’ by Oliver Jeffers and were fascinated to hear about the adventures of the boy and the penguin.  The children explored animals from all over the world and made super links between the pictures and maps!  The children will go on to learn about the United Kingdom and identify where we live!  They will find out more about the four countries that are part of the UK, the population and currency.
