Guardians of the Planet!
This week, we launched our exciting new whole-school Mini Adventure - ‘Guardians of the Planet’! The project began with fantastic workshops led by Green Up Your Act, where children across the school learned all about the importance of looking after our planet and the impact of climate change.
During the workshops, KS1 pupils got creative by making colourful fish artworks, each with scales made from recycled materials. Meanwhile, KS2 pupils became eco-engineers, designing and making their very own notebooks from scratch, using recycled paper, cardboard and old maps.
Throughout this Mini Adventure, teachers will be on the lookout for pupils who go above and beyond in showing care and commitment to protecting our environment. These special pupils will be nominated as our very own Willows Eco-Heroes - children who show a true passion for guarding the planet!
As part of this learning journey, we’d also like to remind everyone that children will be able to apply for a Green 'Blue Peter' badge, recognising their fantastic environmental efforts and creativity.
Finally, don’t forget - we are currently accepting donations of toys, books, games, and puzzles, which children will have the opportunity to buy at our 'Bring and Buy Sale' on November 21st. More information will follow soon!
Together, we can all be Guardians of the Planet!
