A Fantastic Lake District Adventure!

Last week, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable residential trip to the beautiful Lake District. We arrived on Tuesday full of excitement and left on Friday with wonderful memories, new experiences and a real sense of achievement.

After arriving on Tuesday, we headed out for a short walk around Grasmere, taking in the stunning scenery. Later, the children enjoyed some time at the park before returning to our accommodation for a delicious dinner of chicken flatbreads and mini donuts. The evening finished with a fun quiz, which brought out everyone's competitive spirit!

Wednesday began with a hearty breakfast, with choices including a full English breakfast, cereal, muffins, crumpets and yoghurt. We then set off on a walk around Rydal Water. Although the rain was determined to fall, the children showed incredible resilience throughout the walk. After returning, we enjoyed pasta and meatballs followed by chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Tuesday was also extra special as we celebrated one pupil's birthday, making the day even more memorable.

The evening's entertainment was the much-anticipated talent show. There were many fantastic performances, but the winning act was a trio who performed a hilarious rap all about quadrilaterals! We also celebrated another birthday on Wednesday, giving everyone another reason to celebrate.

Thursday started with another tasty breakfast before we travelled to Keswick for a shopping spree. The children enjoyed spending their pocket money and choosing souvenirs to take home. Later, we completed a walk around Elterwater, once again showing great perseverance in the rainy conditions. That evening, we tucked into cheeseburgers for dinner before enjoying a lively game of bingo.

On Friday morning, we had breakfast, packed our bags and began the journey home. Although the weather was very wet throughout the week, the children were incredibly   resilient, positive and supportive of one another. They embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and determination, and we are extremely proud of how they represented our school.

The Lake District residential was a fantastic experience filled with laughter, friendship and adventure. It is a trip that will be remembered for many years to come.
