Year 4 Den Builders in Action!

Year 4 recently enjoyed an exciting trip to Jackson’s Bank near Yoxall as part of their DT mini adventure, inspired by 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell.

The children took part in a sponsored walk and run around a circular forest course, supporting their year group community link while keeping active and healthy.  Alongside this, they explored the woodland environment and worked in teams to design and build dens, applying the skills they have been developing in Design and Technology lessons.

Throughout the day, the pupils demonstrated our school values of teamwork, resilience and skills, supporting one another and rising to every challenge with enthusiasm. Most importantly, everyone had a fantastic time, combining learning, creativity, and exercise in a truly memorable outdoor experience.  Well done, Year 4!
