Year 5’s Sherwood Forest Adventure!

This week, Year 5 stepped into the world of Robin Hood and his merry men as we explored the fascinating Sherwood Forest. We discovered what life was like during the medieval period, explored why some people became outlaws and, as we walked through the forest, listened to a variety of stories about Robin Hood and his men — separating the legends from the stories that may have some truth behind them. The children had an amazing time bringing their learning to life in such a special setting. Their knowledge, curiosity and enthusiasm were fantastic throughout the day, with everyone getting involved and showing a real eagerness to learn more about this fascinating period of history. It was a memorable experience for Year 5; a wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience history beyond the classroom!
